Christmas Gifts Wishlist 2022
It’s that time of the year! Much as I may try to fend off the consumer frenzy that is Christmas, with 6 family birthdays thrown into the December/New Year mix, there is high demand for inspired gift ideas at this time of year.
So, if you’re looking for Xmas gift inspiration for 10 and 13 year old girls, a perimenopausal mum and a man fast approaching his 50th – I’ve got you covered 😉
Here’s what’s on my family’s wish lists this year…

Me first! What do you buy a mum in the thick of perimenopause?
I love the bold colour and unusual print of this Proenza top, casual enough for everyday, but interesting enough for Zoom meetings and it fits under a snug jumper.
I can’t wait to read this book, now out of print, but available on Amazon. This unique book is essentially a conversation among hundreds of women of all nationalities-famous, anonymous, religious, secular, married, single, young, old-on the subject of clothing, and how the garments we put on everyday define and shape our lives.
My menopause bible! I’ve already got the Kindle version, but it’s so good I want the hard copy to read and re-read and one day pass on to my daughters.
Plannher is an undated planner-and-journal-in-one which offers high-level purpose practices to feel organised with a sense of direction. This planner-and-journal inspires clarity, trust, harmony, creativity and spiritual connection to self while setting meaningful and realistic goals, into your months, weeks, and days. Designed to help you let go of the rigidity of traditional diaries and invite your intuition to step into your journey.
List-makers rejoice! This quirky and imaginative guided journal is the ultimate tool for creating a unique autobiography entirely in list form. Some lists are obvious (greatest accomplishments, best friends, favorite food), others obscure (guiltiest pleasures, greatest acts of kindness, personal fashion trends), and each list is accompanied by hilarious illustrations. Listography is perfect for getting down all the details of a life less ordinary.
Journalling is one of my key (almost daily) practices for clearing out the mental gunk and accessing my inner guidance. I go through so many notebooks and I love receiving notebooks as gifts. These brightly coloured ones are on this year’s wishlist.
THE PERFECT GIFT! This multi award winning organic & Fair Trade chocolate selection gift box is the perfect present for any occasion. I received it as a gift myself and the whole family loved it so much we no longer buy ANY other chocolate. The packaging is so beautiful. Perfect gift for Mother’s Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas, Valentines, Easter, Hanukkah, birthdays, hampers, condolence, to say “thank you” or “I Love You” and everything in between. I love a scented candle, but so many have synthetic fragrances now even if the wax is natural, so I got really excited when I discovered these Olapelu handmade candles which use only the finest natural soya wax and purest essential oils. This one is the quintessential Christmas candle with fragrant versatility which implores you to indulge all year round.
Second! Christmas Gifts for Aphra (10 years old)
My 10 year old LOVES this graphic novel series and re-reads them over and again, so the box set is well worth adding to the tween lending library.
For junior mystical enthusiasts these oracle cards by best-selling author Colette Baron-Reid are a beautiful way for tweens to connect with the archetypal energies of the animals we share our planet with, see them as allies and teachers and use the cards to access their own intuition and inner guidance as they navigate growing up.
A surprise entry onto this years xmas wishlist! After languishing in a cupboard for a year, the Sylvanians were recently rediscovered by visiting twin 7-year old cousins. Now they are back in favour with our 10 year old and even our 13-year olds´ friends got swept back up in the nostalgic imaginary play set at a recent sleepover. The Sylvanians are back baby!
Third! Christmas Gifts for Indi (13 years old)
If you don’t know what an Oodie is you’re clearly NOT 13! We have been hearing about this for months!!! It is without doubt the thing our teen girl is most excited about this Xmas! And she went for the adult size, because, you know, she’ll be living in it for the next few months.
Our girls are both total book worms, so when this was spotted during summer holidays in Suffolk, it went straight onto the xmas list!
We have been using these diaries every month for 3 years now, not only has it become a much loved family ritual to plan and spend quality time together each month, it also serves as a beautiful reminder of the conversations, questions raised and challenges faced at each age as they journey from girl to woman. I cannot recommend these highly enough!
I love blue Q products, these bags are great. They can hold a lot, are sturdy and colorful, funny aaaand made out of recycled materials. This one will be a funky period pouch to keep all her monthly essentials in, including of course Chocolate & Love miniatures! Chocolate is VERY important!
Books – personally I find the current reading matter all a little dark, but each to their own! Our girl LOVES murder mysteries! we keep checking the age ratings and talking about the themes as they come up. These come recommended:
Last but not least, Christmas Gifts for my husband Roland, turning 50th soon
A gift for his upcoming 50th and ski trip. Super cool print and totally natural merino wool fabric.
